Music and Summer
Music and summer go hand in hand. The biggest hits are always released during the hot summer months, and there are so many times a song triggers a summertime memory. Songs of the summer are typically upbeat, light, and positive. One could say summertime is the best time to release a new song and really have it hit the charts and become a blockbuster of a song.
Song of the Summer
When hits are released in early summer, they become the song of the summer. When someone thinks about a particular summer, the hit song of the summer might pop into that same memory. Conversely, when you hear an older song that was released during a summer, you might come into a flood of memories just by hearing that summertime song for a few seconds.
The Sound
The sound of the music for a summertime hit is very important. You cannot have a heavy, sad, down sounding song and think that would be good for the hot, sunny days. The song needs to be light, fresh, catchy, motivating, and upbeat to become that year’s summer song. To reach the top of the charts, these qualities are imperative for that summer jam. Without them, the song will get lost and will not be the popular song someone thought it would be.
Long summer days and summer nights are the best time to listen to the perfect summer song. Keep your ears open and listen for the next summer song that will pair with your summer memories this year.
